Credit Report Downloads Stopped with Credit Karma

In May 2019 Noddle was acquired by Credit Karma, this has led to some confusion from Noddle customers who have been trying to download their credit reports.
Credit Report Downloads Stopped with Credit Karma
Credit Karma have removed the ability for you to download your credit report as a PDF. This option was previously available with Noddle and the downloadable credit report provided a wealth of historic credit payment history in offline form.
Now we don’t yet know if this is permanent, but Noddle became Credit Karma in May and we have been checking since then on a weekly basis now into September and the option to download your credit report as a PDF is still missing.
There is no explanation as to why you can no longer download your credit report, but it could be that Credit Karma is following the likes of ClearScore and focusing its efforts on linking your profile with credit offers. This has been a trend over recent years.

The importance of having a downloadable copy
It is important that customers are given an offline version of their credit reports as many mortgage advisors and mortgage brokers will ask for this in order to determine the most suitable lender, especially if there have been credit blips and missed payments. With the current credit report layout on the Credit Karma website it is very difficult for customers to screenshot each and every section.

Alternative sites to Download your Credit Report
Given that Credit Karma is no longer offering the facility to download your credit report, we thought we would list some alternatives. It’s a shame because before Credit Karma made these changes, Noddle was one of the only websites where you could download your full credit report for free listing 6 years worth of payment history.
We are regularly checking Credit Karma to see if any changes are made and if there are we will update this article.
Here are two alternative sites we recommend for downloading your credit report:
CheckMyFile – Combines your Experian report with Equifax and CallCredit (Noddle) into one credit report. FREE for 30 days, then £14.99 a month – cancel anytime.
Experian – A monthly fee of £14.99 applies to download your credit report via CreditExpert after your 30 day free trial. You may cancel anytime during your free trial without charge.
